AJAX East Bay Soccer Club plans to return to play according to the state and county health guidelines. The Board of Directors holds the health of the players, families, and staff to the highest regard. Returning players to play competitive games will be a phased approach.
As the club transitions to train and to compete, please contact your coach if there are questions.
Return to Train
Time when club decides to hold regular on-field training sessions
Currently expecting to return to training on July 6
The following guidelines will be used when training on City of Brentwood fields:
Maximum group size is 12.
Each group of 12 must be separated by a minimum of 20’.
Players and coach must stay with the same group.
No shared equipment.
Participants over the age of 12 are recommended to wear masks/face coverings. Players will be asked to wear masks to and from the field.
Status of each AJAX East Bay Program when club returns to train:
Competitive teams will begin training, adhering to City and County guidelines
Fall Rec league play is on hold.
Academy sessions can be held.
The Board of Directors will continuously evaluate state and county guidelines to ensure continued training on the field doesn’t jeopardize the health of players, families, and staff.
Return to Competition
Time when club teams participate in NorCal League play or tournaments and Rec/Academy begins
Currently, NorCal Premier League is expecting to begin competition in late August. This date just a preliminary date.
Any participation in games (Competitive, Rec, Academy) will be based on state and county guidance
Contra Costa County currently lists Outdoor Activity with group and high touch as closed. Updates can be found on the Contra Costa County Re-Openings by Date PDF.
Competitions will start once state & county public health guidance allows
Once competition starts, formats & dates will need to be very flexible as situations change
NorCal Premier League will work with clubs to develop best practices for hosting games, based on public health guidance
